Summary: Starting with a Brasington bird kite kit, I developed the jet design and transfered it to the sail. Then I cut the half round "head" into the pointed nose of the jet and folded the wingtips. The sail was painted with thinned acrylics and then a marker was used to outline the design. Two flat spars were glued in when the wingtips were glued down. Then the bamboo spars were glued on as per kit directions with the exception that the wing edge spars are crossed over the spine much further than in the kit as the folded wings are shorter.
